This bundle consists of summaries of official secret letters received from HM Minister to Persia, Charles Augustus Murray, residing at Baghdad (30 April 1857, Number 29; 2 May, Number 33; and 7 May, Numbers 35-36).
The letters mainly relate to the treaty between the United Kingdom and Persia, an article in the Tehran Gazette regarding the case of Prince Hajee Seif ed Dowleh Mirza, and the murder of Prince Mahomed Yoosoof [Mohammad Yusuf Khan] at Tehran.
