The plan shows the Muscat Political Agency and Consulate Compound and adjacent buildings, with the premises of Cable and Wireless Limited marked A, B, and C. Proposed additions to the Cable and Wireless premises marked C (existing building and proposed extension) are shown shaded and outlined in red. A letter dated 23 January 1950 from the Manager, Cable and Wireless Limited, Muscat branch, to the Political Resident in the Persian Gulf (folio 61), relates to the plan. The additional space was required as a site for the Company's telephone exchange. Accompanying envelope with description of plan: folio 76.
