The sheet bears the note 'Compiled in Field Intelligence Department, Natal Army, from the sketches of, Major S.C.N. Grant Royal Engineers, Captain P. Mclear Royal Dublin Fusiliers, Lieut G.A. Wilkinson the Kings (Liverpool) Regiment, II. Corporal P.F. Stancliffe Royal Engineers.'
