- ff 157-161, Letter 83 William Shaw in Aleppo, 28 February 1764 outlining in detail is version of events in Bussorah [Basra] relating to debts owed on the account of Hodjee Euseph (deceased);
- ff 162-165, Letters 84-85 Ali Basha, Governor of Bagdad and Bassorah [Basra] 15 March 1764 to William Kinloch, British Consul at Aleppo laying out the grievances against Mr Shaw. Letter in Italian with translation;
- ff 166-170, Letters 86-87 Relation of what happened in Bussorah concerning the affair of Mr Price and Mr Shaw with Haggi Juseff, Dallah Basha and others. Letter in Italian with translation.
The letters were all received in a letter from the Earl of Halifax 30 April 1764 (no longer enclosed).
