A map of Mesopotamia and western Iran indicating railway routes, including those under construction. The map also shows topography, hydrology, and human settlements. The railway lines are colour coded to indicate gauge width.
Notes at the bottom of the sheet give details of corrections and updates between September 1917 and July 1919. The map was printed by the War Office and includes a printing statement which reads 'War Office. M. R. 2(A).' It was traced by 'N. M.' and is signed by Brigadier General G. Lubbock, Director of Railways.
