This part of the volume consists of copies of enclosures to a despatch from the Government of Bombay’s Secret Department to the Secret Committee, Number 71 of 1854, dated 14 December 1854. The enclosures are numbered 3-8 and are dated 6 September-7 December 1854.
The papers relate to affairs in the Persian Gulf including the differences between the Imaum [Imām] of Muscat and the Persian Government relative to Bunder Abbas [Bandar-e Abbas].
The correspondents include the Resident in the Persian Gulf (Captain Arnold Burrowes Kemball); the Assistant Resident in the Persian Gulf (Henry Frederick Disbrowe); and the Imaum of Muscat Syed Saeed [Sayyid Sa‘īd bin Sulṭān Āl Bū Sa‘īd].
Also included is a resolution by the Board.
