This item consists of copies of correspondence, consultations, and minutes cited in, or enclosed with, political letters from the Government of Bombay [Mumbai]. The correspondents are: the Government of Bombay; Captain Samuel Hennell, British Resident in the Persian Gulf; Lieutenant-Colonel Justin Sheil, Her Majesty’s Minister Plenipotentiary and Envoy Extraordinary at the Court of Persia; Meerza Reza [Mīrzā Reżā], British Agent at Shiraz; Lieutenant Arnold Burrowes Kemball, Assistant Resident in the Persian Gulf; and Manochehr Khan Mootamud-ood Dowlah [Manūchihr Khān Gurjī, Muʿtamid al-Dawlah], Governor of Isfahan.
