This item consists of copies of correspondence, consultations, and minutes cited in, or enclosed with, political letters from the Government of Bombay [Mumbai]. The correspondents are: the Government of Bombay; Major Samuel Hennell, British Resident in the Persian Gulf; and Lieutenant John Stephens, commanding the East India Company sloop of war Clive. • A complaint made by Lieutenant Stephens against the British Agent at Bahrain, Hajee Jassim [Ḥājī Jāsim], about a breach of etiquette.
