This item consists of copies of correspondence cited in, or enclosed with, political letters from the Government of Bombay. These political letters appear in IOR/F/4/2174/105546. It is the twenty-ninth in a series of forty-five items on the Persian Gulf.
The correspondents are: the Government of Bombay and Major Samuel Hennell, Resident in the Persian Gulf.
The item contains a letter from Hennell reporting the departure of Shaik Nasir [Shaikh Nāṣir III Āl Mazkūr], the Governor of Bushire [Bushehr], to Shiraz, and his replacement, during the period of his absence, by Hajee Baba Ally Sultan [Ḥājī Bābā ʿAlī Sulṭān].
