This item consists of copies of correspondence, consultations, and minutes cited in, or enclosed with, political letters from the Government of Bombay. The correspondents are the Government of Bombay and Major Samuel Hennell, British Political Resident in the Persian Gulf. It is the third in a series of eleven items.
The item concerns a conversation between Sheik Mahomed bin Abdullah [Shaikh Muḥammad bin ‘Abdullāh Āl Khalīfah], the fifth son of the ex-chief of Bahrein [Bahrain], Sheikh Abdullah [Shaikh ‘Abdullāh bin Aḥmad Āl Khalīfah], and Hennell, in which Hennell advised that Sheik Abdullah should abandon his attempts to reclaim his position as Shaikh of Bahrein.
