This item consists of copies of correspondence, consultations, and minutes, cited in, or enclosed with, political letters from the Government of Bombay. The correspondents are: the Government of Bombay; Major Samuel Hennell, British Resident in the Persian Gulf; Metcalfe Larken, deputy Civil Auditor at Bombay; James Edwards, Accountant at the Residency in the Persian Gulf; and the Bombay Medical Board. It is the tenth in a series of eleven items.
The item concerns requests to the Government of Bombay for payments for:
- An advance payment of his salary for Edwards
- The Christmas donation to the gatekeepers of Bushire [Bushehr]
- The purchase of five Persian guns for future presentations
- Medical supplies purchased for the Residency
