This part of the volume consist of copies of enclosures to a despatch from the Government of Bombay Secret Department to the Secret Committee, Number 55 of 1850, dated 17 October 1850. The enclosures are numbered 3-7 and are dated 29 September-6 October 1850. A note in red ink, dated 1 November 1906, states that enclosures Nos. 6 and 7 (dated 17 October 1850) are missing.
The documents consist of a letter from the Political Agent at Aden relating to affairs in the vicinity of Aden, notably the assembling of a fighting force by the Ruler of Lahidge [Lahej], and a letter by the Secretary to the Government of India directing that copies of the Political Agent’s letter be forwarded to the Governor-General of India and the home authorities.
