Two papers in French concerning indigo, copied by Harford Jones, Resident in Bagdad [Baghdad], and dated 30 August 1801.
The papers appraise specimens of indigo brought to Bagdad by Captain John Malcolm, Envoy of the Governor-General of Bengal to Persia [Iran], and suggest trade strategies.
Another copy of the first paper can be found in IOR/L/PS/9/76/170.
These papers were enclosed in a letter from Jones to Malcolm dated 30 August 1801 (see IOR/L/PS/9/76/176).
