Mentioned in Thereza Story Maskeylene's January 1857 journal 'May 20th …Mr. Jackson jun: had a number of very clever sea side or lake scenes, sketches, several of Bude and on the Cornish coast and on lake Emmerdale and Waist water; and some drawings of a stone and log of wood, with a piece of rope and rusty chain, most wonderfully natural and true!".
