Fragments of a papyrus roll from mummy cartonnage, containing portions of Plato’s Phaedo 67B, 82A-D, 84A-B. The small fragment of lighter colour at the bottom right preserves the beginnings of four iambic lines, apparently from a comedy (Old Comedy?).

Eight fragments of varying size from a papyrus roll reused as mummy cartonnage, some of which are covered with plaster residue; written on one side along the fibres. The back is blank. The largest fragment bears portions of three columns and the lower margin; the other fragments preserve portions of a few lines. The small fragment of lighter colour at the bottom right belongs to another papyrus and preserves the beginnings of 4 lines, with traces of another line at the top. Mounted on cardboard in a glass frame.

Dimensions: Fragments of varying size, the largest measuring 142 x 173 mm; housed in a glass frame measuring 335 x 275 mm.
Script: Very small, upright, regular and skilled hand, with contrast between narrow and broad letters; some uprights descend below the line. Paragraphus and horizontal dash mark change of speaker.
