- Pen and ink drawing with watercolour of the plan and sections of Majkund's Cave at Dholpur in Rajasthan, by Frederick Charles Maisey, from an album of 60 drawings dated 1847-1854.In the 'Descriptive List of drawings of Captain Maisey' the artist wrote: "Dholpur is chiefly celebrated for the gumpha or cell of Majkund; this is a place of pilgrimage, and the scene of a yearly Mela or fair in celebration of the death of Khaljuman… “Majkund ke Gumpha”, the cave or properly cell of Majkund, is in a small hill some distance from the City; it is a small hollow under protecting rocks, artificially built up to as to resemble a cave (Plate 1) and reached through a flat slabroofed chamber (Plate 1.a) tenanted, at the time of my visit, by two Fakirs."
