Four of five maps on one sheet. The first four are cross section maps, catalogued here as Mss Eur F112 397, f 4 1 and also found at Mss Eur F112 397, f 2.
The four cross section maps (printed as shown on Mss Eur F112 397, f 2) were produced as part of a reconnaissance survey of south-east Bakhtiari [Bakhtiyārī] country. Surveyed by Assistant Surveyor Imam Sharif, Khan Bahadur [Imām Sharīf, Khān Bahādur], Survey of India Department; superintended and assisted by Lieutenant William Daniel McSwiney, 7th Dragoon Guards. The maps are as follows:
- ‘I’, labelled as ‘Section Dizful [Dezful] to Pul-i-Kul’
- ‘II’, labelled as ‘Section Dizful to Kala Bazuft’
- ‘III’, labelled as ‘Section Shustar to Kala Bazuft (Via, Lali, Mushgari and Susan)’
- ‘IV’, labelled as ‘Section Shustar to Kala Bazuft (Via, Sar i Shah and Chilau)’.
The sections note place names and their height above sea level. The vertical scale is stated as ‘1 Inch = 6000 feet’. The horizontal scale is stated as being ‘1 Inch = 8 Miles’.
