Answer to a question posed by an anonymous individual 'on the meaning of the Sufi saying "he who knows the secret of predestination has become an apostate"' (عن معنى قول الصوفية من عرف سر القدر ألحد, f. 369v, lines 14-15) falsely attributed to Abū ʿAlī al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿAbd Allāh (أبو علي الحسين بن عبد الله), known as Ibn Sīnā (ابن سينا, latinised as Avicenna, d. 1037). This short text, also known as the Epistle on the Secret of Predestination (رسالة في سر القدر) and the Meaning of the Sufi Saying (معنى قول الصوفية), is divided into three propositions (مقدمات).
