Allegorical work by Abū ʻAlī al-Ḥusayn ibn ʻAbd Allāh (أبو علي الحسين بن عبد الله), known as Ibn Sīnā (ابن سينا, latinised as Avicenna, d. 1037).
In the colophon, the title is given as The Epistle Called The Bird (الرسالة المسماة بالطير, f. 437v, lines 20-21).
A Persian commentary on this text by Zayn al-Dīn ʻUmar ibn Sahlān al-Sāwajī (عمر بن سهلان الساوجي, also al-Sāwī [الساوي], fl. early 12th century) is item 28, above (ff. 424v-435r).
