Annual administration report of the Aden Settlement, providing a summary record of the main events and developments in each department of the Administration of Aden during the financial year 1873-74. The report is addressed, in a covering memorandum dated 1 June 1874, by Brigadier-General John W Schneider, Political Resident, Aden, to the Secretary to the Government, Bombay. The report was printed at the Government Central Press, Bombay [Mumbai].

The main body of the report is headed ‘PART II’. The first part is not present. Part II of the report is divided into the following sections, some of which are further divided into sub-headings:

On folio 80 is the ‘Sanitary Report of the Station of Aden for the Year 1873-74’ authored by J T Welsh, Surgeon, Senior Medical Officer, Indian Medical Department, Aden.
