- Scope & Content:
- The hand-drawn map shows Luristan [Lorestan] and Arabistan [Khorramshahr] in south-western Persia [Iran]. The map also indicates major settlements, the course of the Karun River, location of oil fields, and the route of a major road and the Government of India telegraph line. Mountain ranges are sketched in with brown pencil with some indication of relief provided. The ‘Bakhtiari [Bakhtiyārī] (Lynch) Road’ is shown by a red line. A key is given at the bottom of the map.
