A wooden framed wall mounted black and white group photo, in which a group of men and women in different age group are sitting and standing in an open ground and possing for the picture.There are four rows of people in which four women are sitting on the floor, behind them a row of men who are sitting on a desk, behind them two rows of men standing. Most of the men in the group are wearing coat and suite only a few are without coat.The picutre is taken in an open ground with trees and hilly slops. The photo is mounted and wooden framed, the photo is boarded with a line. On the top centre of the photo mount it is printied as "Board High School, Kotagiri. S.S.L.C. Class-1947-48, -(First Batch) 12-3-1948. Bellow to the photograph on the photo mount it is printed the names of the persons in the photograph and it is as "1st Row (standing) T.Govindaraju, N. Natarajan, P.Manickam, G.Devarajan, K.Srinivasan, Sepoy Kalan (Peon,)", in the 2nd line it is printed as "2nd Row (standing) K.M.Joghee, A.C. Ajjan, K.H.Thathan, B.K. Bellan, K.M. Hiriyan, N.Krishnan, G.A. Mathan, B.Bathersingh," and in the thrid line it is printed as "3rd Row (seated) Sri. P.A. Matha Gowder, Sri.S.S.Venkatachala Iyer, Sri. N.Krishna Rao,B.A.,B.T., Mr. Moses William Daniel; B.A., L.T., Sri.M.K.Nanja Gowder (President Panchayat Board) Sri. M.V.Pasupathy Iyer, B.A., L.T. (Headmaster) SRi. V.Sreenivasa Pillai, Sri T.K.
