This map is one of fourteen map sheets included in IOR/L/PS/20/C234.
It shows a section of the south-western coast of Persia [Iran] centred on the town of Dilbar [Delvar]. This area was the site of a military engagement between a British expedition and local tribesmen, which took place on 13-15 August 1915. It portrays details relevant to this engagement, including a palm grove and the site of the British base camp. The positions occupied by the tribesmen along the beach are marked in green.
The map was prepared in the Historical Section of the Committee of Imperial Defence. Imprint: ‘Ordnance Survey 1929.’
