This map is one of fourteen map sheets included in IOR/L/PS/20/C234.
It shows part of south-western Persia [Iran] centred on the town of Dasht-i-Arjan [Dasht-e Arzhan] and depicting a route between Shiraz and Kazerun. This area was the site of a military engagement between a British force and Persian ‘rebels’ which took place on 25 December 1916. It shows key settlements and relief by hachure.
The map was prepared in the Historical Section of the Committee of Imperial Defence. Imprint: ‘Ordnance Survey 1929.’
