Despatch from the Foreign Department, Government of India, to the Secretary of State for India, No. 32 of 1870, dated 27 May 1870, containing an enclosure dated 9 February 1870.
The enclosure consists of a copy of a letter from Commodore Leopold George Heath, Commander-in-Chief, East Indies Station, requesting confirmation of the geographical limits of the Maritime Truce [General Treaty with the Arab Tribes of the Persian Gulf], and whether it can be applied outside the Gulf, for instance at Muscat and Gwadur [Gwadar].
