Despatch from the Foreign Department, Government of India, to the Secretary of State for India, No. 118 of 1870, dated 24 June 1870, containing an enclosure dated 8 June 1870.
The enclosure consists of a copy of a letter from the Government of Bombay, giving the opinion that if Syud Azan bin Ghes [Sayyid ‘Azzān bin Qays Āl Bū Sa‘īd] is officially recognised as Sultan of Muscat by the British Government, then his claims over Gwadur [Gwadar] and Charbar [Chabahar] should also be recognised.
