Aerial view of Boyden Observatory site from the west-northwest. The 60-inch enclosure is being constructed; roofing material is being laid on. The shrouded telescope can be seen inside. The two Engine Sheds have not been built yet. The electrical supply network can be clearly seen. In the north-east, a short distance into the veldt from the Bruce enclosure, is a light-coloured conical tent. The formal garden to the west of the Residence is laid out. The old kraal is visible, to the right of the 60-inch enclosure. PB13_0006 and PB13_0019 are derivatives. PB13_0006 has a slightly sepia-like tint. PB15_0019 is a copy.
