The partially completed mount of the 60-inch telescope, seen from the east looking down into the telescope pit. The polar axis is in place. The declination axis is missing the counterweight and cradle. The declination spindle and graduated circle is shown inserted in to the cross head. Two people are visible at the left edge of the image. Within the pit a doorway opens into a corridor heading roughly south-west. Outside the pit near the top of frame the mount cradle and telescope tube in a wooden frame are partially visible. PB13_0022 and PB13_0026 are related. PLB35_0022 and PB13_0026 are derivatives.
