- Title:
- Two males with a mounted three-camera instrument and a small telescope
- Scope & Content:
-
Two unknown males next to an equatorial fork mount, carrying three cameras, on a temporary stand. One male is seated, the other is squatting. On the far left is a small telescope on a tall tripod. On the far right is a plank of wood, planted vertically, carrying a mechanical device consisting of a chain, weights, and gears. The chain runs to the mount and is presumably a drive mechanism. Written on the plank is "PHILIP WILLIAMS / MURRAYSBURG / C.P. / VIA BIESJESPOORT". The cluster of cameras consists of a larger central one, flanked by smaller units. Beneath the rectangular stand is a battery. In the background, trellised vines can be seen, as well as a hedge, a building, and several trees. In the far background, distant mountains can be made out. Unidentified location. One of six related images. See also PLB38_0002.
