The enclosure of the 13-inch Boyden Refractor with the roof open, seen from due west. The upper end of the refractor, with the objective covered by a hood, can be seen. Several packing crates are visible in the background behind the building. In the fore- and mid-ground, fences and two gates are shown. "EASTMAN-KODAK 138" is etched into the plate; the text is mirror-reversed. PB13_0046 and PLB35_0003 are derivatives.
