A lorry offloads cargo in the veldt. Several people can be seen, including Mrs Paraskevopoulos at far left. Pile of rocks in foreground. In the background the upper portion of the 60-inch enclosure under construction can be seen. The lorry is a six-wheeled steam-driven machine. The bed is raised and the crate, containing the truss tube of the telescope, is partially offloaded. Written on the crate is "No. 1591 / EAST LONDON / SOUTH AFRICA / WT 2200 GR / 1200 NET / HARVARD COLLEGE OBSERVATORY / FROM J.W. FECKER. / PITTSBURGH [obscured] WNING / EXPORT / .. YORK N.Y.". On the door of the cab of the lorry is a sign reading "PANDA". Hand-written label: "BOYDEN STATION. - So.AFRICA / 60[inch] tel. Skeleton tube / July 1931", "22" [written at right-angles across caption].
