- Despatch from the Foreign Department, Government of India, to the Secretary of State for India, No. 90 of 1869, dated 17 March 1869, with an abstract and enclosures numbered 3-4, dated 17 February-8 March 1869.
The enclosures consist of:
- A letter from the Secretary to the Government of Bombay to the Secretary to the Government of India, Foreign Department, forwarding a letter, with enclosures, from Lieutenant-Colonel Lewis Pelly, Political Resident in the Persian Gulf. In his letter Pelly confirms the restoration to Shaikh Zaeed [Zāyid bin Khalīfah Āl Nahyān], Ruler of Aboothabee [Abu Dhabi], of the buggalow [baggalah] that Pelly had previously ordered him to surrender
- The Government of India’s approval of Pelly’s restoration of the buggalow.
The Political Despatch was received in the India Office Secret Department on 22 April 1869.
