Marbodus Redonensis, Liber lapidum seu de Gemmis. A treatise relating to the properties of sixty-two stones written in verse by Marbod (1035-1123), bishop of Rennes, poet and writer, who made large use of material found in a 5th- or 6th-century Latin translation by Damigeron of a previous work in Greek.
Title (added by a later hand in the upper margin) 'Marbodus de lapidibus preciosis', followed a similar title by a different hand, incipit: '[E]vax Rex Arabum fertur scripsisse Neroni', explicit: 'propter quod lapidum titulo liber iste vocatur', and in the margin 'Explicit liber Marbodis'. Includes marginal additions.

Most of these copies are mentioned in the modern edition of the text Marbode of Rennes' (1035-1123) 'De Lapidibus' considered as a medical treatise; with text, commentary and C. W. King's translation. Together with text and translation of Marbode's Minor works on stones, ed. by J. M. Riddle (Wiesbaden, 1977), pp. 131-33.
