Reverse: a piece of paper with Persian inscription including the date AH678/AD1279-80 and a reference to the celebrated scribe Yaqut, which appears to have no relevance here.
A fowler spreads his nets by a tree. Two pigeons are in a cage beside him and a cat is eating a partridge. From the stories of the pigeons who will not listen to the ring-dove and are caught by the fowler, and the hypocritical cat and the partridges (Eastwick (1854), chapter III, story I, 251 and chapter IV, story VI, 326; IO Isl 1403, f.102r and 130r).
