- Scope & Content:
-
A court scene. The prince sits on a carpet, left, under a sort of pavilion with blue pillars, a row of five young courtiers behind him, one carrying his sword in a blue bag and another his bow. Before him is a row of five courtiers of more mature years, and on the tiled pavement in the foreground is seated a beggar or dervish, a hawk on a perch between him and the prince. Background of flowering trees and pale green hillside.
