The map shows the whole of Persia with portions of adjacent countries, and indicates the extents of the coverage of each volume of the Gazetteer and Routes of Persia, administrative regions and boundaries, hydrology, and major cities and towns.
The map was printed at the Quartermaster General's Department, Intelligence Branch and includes a printing statement which reads 'I. B. Topo Dy. No. 8,177. Exd. C.J.A., July 1909.'
