The traces were used in the compilation of series GSGS 2230 and GSGS 2618, filed at Maps 63510.(173.) and Maps MOD GSGS 2230. All sheets are part of block South G-35. Individual traces are sheets I-IV, J-IV, K-III, O-II, P-II, P-III and Q-I.
The traces are at various stages of completion. All sheets portray hydrology, settlements, place names, farm boundaries and administrative boundaries. Some sheets also variously portray relief by form lines, railways, telegraph and telephone lines, roads and tracks, and isolated buildings. Some traces are signed 'J.M.' Some have editorial comments added, some bearing the name of Captain E.W. Cox R.E.
