The map indicates the tracks between:
1. Shushter [Shushtar] and Ispahan [Isfahan] via Paradomba, surveyed by Henry Finnis Blosse Lynch (indicated by a thick black line)
2. Ahwaz [Ahvaz] and Malamir [Izeh], by H A Richards of Messrs Lynch's staff (indicated by a broken black and white line)
3. Dopulun [Do Polan?] and Ispahan via the Zira Pass, by Colonel Sawyer and H A Richards (indicated by red lines)
4. Dopulun and Ispahan via Urugan [Boroujen, also spelled 'Urujan' in this map], by Colonel Sawyer (indicated by a green line and dotted green line).
The map also indicates branches of the Karun River and other rivers, relief by hachures, land features, settlements and place names.
The map scale is eight miles to one inch.
Below the map is a diagram of a vertical section of Shushter to Ispahan showing elevations, on a scale of 6000 feet to one inch.
