The drawing shows the positions of the following places: Lahsa [Al-Ahsa]; Ojair [Uqair], Gwuttur [Qatar], Aboothabee [Abu Dhabi], Debai [Dubai], Shargah [Sharjah], Ajman, Amalgawaine [Umm al-Qaywayn], Rasool Kyma [Ra’s al-Khaymah], Cape Mussundoom [Musandam Peninsula], Sohar and Muscat.
The drawing forms part of a report in IOR/L/PS/5/358, ff 168-205 by Lieutenant-Colonel Lewis Pelly, Political Resident in the Persian Gulf, on the ‘quarrel’ between Muskat [Muscat] and the Wahabees [Wahhābī], based on his recent tour of the Persian Gulf.
