From Erode: I think we arrived in Mercara on April 25th. In Mercara itself I did not record music, but we saw a marriage ceremony. I did work in two places, Napoklu in N. Coorg and Ponampet in S. Coorg. The bridegroom; under the wreaths of flowers he wears golden chains. Around his waist is a brocade belt and the chains holding the Coorgi knife. On 125 (and 132, P. V.) this knife is stuck through the belt in front, but usually, it is worn at the back. Photographer: Bake, Arnold Adriaan
