- A private letter from Panares to his son, Heraclas. Panares starts his letter with greetings then informs the recipient about financial income and expenditures. Instructions to buy lentils is added in a different hand perhaps by Heraclas’s mother or wife. The back contains the address of the letter.

- One papyrus sheet, complete apart from the bottom-right part and some holes. Two vertical and several horizontal folds are visible. Writing on both sides parallel to the fibres.
