Dr J Esdaile, secretary to the Mesmeric Committee, submits a proposition to the Governor of Bengal for re-opening the mesmeric hospital by voluntary contribution.
Dr J Esdaile seeks permission to have the Sukeas Lane [Calcutta] Dispensary placed under his charge, for the purpose of introducing the practice of mesmerism
