The circular dance. Above, Radha and Krishna on a lotus. Below, six pairs of dancers, Krishna partnering simultaneously six different milkmaids. In all seven cases, he holds his flute.

A cow being milked by Krishna, Jasoda, to the left, restraining the calf. Below, Krishna manifesting himself as the four-armed Visnu, holding in three of his hands a quoit, conch-shell and mace and supporting clouds with his fourth.
The ‘pir’s’ shrine - a small towering structure in blue, green and yellow attended by devotees, both yellow-skinned, one of them bearded. Below, two bearded Muslim figures stick-fighting, a third figure with a cylindrical clay drum slung over his shoulder.
Three Soren sepoys (members of the soldier clan), dressed in white trousers with black stripes, coats edged with pink and with black shoes, two of them holding muskets, the third a sword. The soldier to the left carries a ‘nargila’ pipe, the centre figure has a bird. Below, a spotted stag look...
