A few original letters from him are included, amongst them being three letters, 1809, 1810 (Vol. V, ff. 6, 8, 15), on the tours in the East, to Charles Skinner Matthews, the first of which is partly written by Byron (ff. 6 b-7; printed by L.A. Marchand, Byron's Letters and Journals: vol. i, 'In my hot youth', 1973, pp. 206-207) who was Lord Broughton's travelling companion. Four volumes.
