Marcus Iulius Casianus acknowledges receipt of the outstading sum for 1 ¾ aruras of land, which he had sold to Valeria, daughter of Gaius, for 1100 silver drachmas.

Extent:

Long and narrow papyrus sheet, medium-brown, complete, damaged by holes and abraded in places; writing runs along the fibres on one side, the back being blank. There is one column of 22 lines, which occupy the upper half of the sheet. Margins are extant, with the blank at the bottom measuring 130 mm. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame.

Scope & Content:
Receipt for the payment of the transfer-tax on settlers’ land made by Ammonarion, first wife of Marcus Lucretius Diogenes, for the purchase of some land from Marcus Iulius Casianus, made almost eight years earlier. With subscription of the tax-farmer Sarapammon at the end.

Lower portion of a medium-brown papyrus sheet, with some surface damage; the writing runs on one side, and the back is blank. On the front, there are 5 lines written across the fibres; lower, right and left margins are extant, the right being minimal. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame.
