Title:
Inventory of Minor’s Personal Estate (P.Fam.Tebt. 49 = Pap.Lugd.Bat. VI 49, TM 20971)
Scope & Content:
Philosarapis, appointed as guardian (epitropos) of Iulius alias Herodes, takes inventory of the minor’s personal estate before some witnesses. Among the belongings are items of clothing, a chest, a glass ball, cushions, cooking utensils. With subscription of Philosarapis and of the witnesses.

Extent:
Two larger fragments and five detached scraps from a light-brown papyrus, with holes throughout; written on one side along the fibres, the back being blank. The upper fragment contains the top two columns of 11 and 10 lines respectively; the fragment on the right, which is the largest, bears parts of two columns of 10 and 15 lines, broken off at the top and bottom. The scraps preserve a few letters from few lines. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame.

Papyrus sheet, incomplete, broken off at the top and left, with insect holes in the centre of the preserved portion and surface damaged throughout; written on one side along the fibres, the back being blank. On the front there are portions of 19 lines, all lacking the beginnings; part of the lower margin survives; no margin was left to the right. A sheet-join runs vertically in the middle of the sheet. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame.

Papyrus sheet, square-shaped, with a few darker patches; incomplete at the bottom; displaying abrasion in places and damage along the vertical folds; written on one side, the back being blank. On the front, there are 9 lines written in the upper half of the sheet. Margins survive, the lower measuring c.60 mm; no blank space was left on the right. Vertical folds are still visible; a sheet-join runs vertically along the right edge. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame.
