Papyrus fragments of varying size from a register, reused as mummy cartonnage and bearing writing on one side along the fibres, the back being blank. The fragments are mounted on cardboard in two glass frames, named Papyrus 495(1) and Papyrus 495(2).
Papyrus 495(1): Two fragments with portions of one column; the left fragment, made of two smaller fragments, preserves the beginnings of 22 lines; the right fragment bears portions of 13 lines, which are the continuation of lines 8-20 of the left fragment. About 18 letters are missing between the fragments.
Papyrus 495(2): Upper fragment: portion of 19 lines; lines 1-8 are further portions of lines 20-22 of Papyrus 495(2), left fragment. A fragment of Papyrus 496 joins on the left and contains further portions of lines 1-8; another fragment of Papyrus 496 preserves the beginnings of lines 6-11. One sheet-join runs from top to bottom.
Lower fragment: From the foot of a column, with remains of 3 lines; a sheet-join runs from top to bottom along the right edge. The position of this fragment in relation to the others is unknown.
