Section from a stela bearing a hymn to Osiris, broken at top. 17 lines of text survive. This limestone stela shows classical hieroglyphs from 3,600 years ago. It contains a hymn to the god of the netherworld, Osiris, and is currently the oldest object in the British Library collection.
