Medium-brown papyrus sheet, complete except for a hole in the centre; bearing writing on one side, the back being blank. On the front, there are 7 lines written along the fibres; traces of ink are visible at the top; all margins are extant. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame.

2. Papyrus 2656

Petition of a Prisoner to Zenon (P.Lond. VII 2045, TM 1607)
Scope & Content:
Pais, brother of Patis, appeals to Zenon as he has been held in prison for five months unjustly and lacks all necessities there. He asks Zenon to bail him out on his guarantee to appear, and he will provide sureties once released.
