Two fragments from different papyrus sheets; the smaller is broken off at the bottom and the left, whereas it is complete at the top and right, with no margins free. Writing runs along the fibres on one side.

The larger fragment contains the lower portion of a text; it is broken off at the top, but complete at the bottom, left and right. Writing is along the fibres, the back being blank.

Housed in one glass case.

Scope & Content:
Only the end of this agreement survives, with the final clauses and subscriptions of Flavius Georgius, who drew up and wrote the deed in Memnoneia, and of five witnesses, who are presbyters and deacons.

Surrender of a Pledged Necklace (SB XVIII 13777, TM 18399)
Scope & Content:
An agreement whereby Aurelia Taam, from the Coptite nome, agreed to cede a silver necklace to Aurelius Daniel, from Memnoneia. The necklace had been deposited as security for a loan which the woman was not able to pay back in full. With subscriptions of the witnesses at the end.

A papyrus sheet, almost fully preserved, with some letters lost on the left side, but perfect as to the rest. A sheet join is visible on the right-hand side. The text runs along the fibres on both sides, with the back only containing the docket. Housed in one glass case.

Sale of a Building (TM 653738)
Scope & Content:
Conclusion of the sale of four parts of a building by two siblings, one of whom is an anchorite, and the wife of a third brother; the buyer's name is lost. The sellers acknowledge that they have received the price of 1 solidus and 8 carats in full. The scribe Aurelius Ioseph wrote on their behalf.

Seven leaves (three bifolia, one folio) of a papyrus codex (Codex V of the Tura papyri), housed in four glass frames, named Papyrus 2921(A), Papyrus 2921(B), Papyrus 2921(C), and Papyrus 2921(D). The original codex was made of at least 22 quires, each comprising four or five bifolia, having a total of more than 170 leaves; each page has one column of 29-34 lines. Further leaves from this codex are held by the Papyrussammlung of the Institut für Altertumskunde of the University of Cologne, the Bibliotheca Bodmeriana (Genève), the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, and the Brigham Young University. The codex is a palimpsest, and traces of the under-text are visible in places.
